Shalom I was wondering if you would know anything about IDF helmet markings. I was watching a movie the other day (Sorcerer, 1977 Dir. William Friedkin) and there was a scene in Jerusalem where personnel from either the Tzahal or the Magav raided a terrorist hideout. The troops had white lines painted on the back of their helmets so I assume that indicate rank or position of a mefaked in a unit: - JNCO (Corporal), = SNCO (Sergeant or Warrant Officer), I Company Officer (Lieutenant or Captain), II Field Officer (Major or Colonel).
