if u dont have the money for a good tele lens or a real macro lens this is the one for u!

so, it can be used as a tele lens? but isn't f/4 a bit too big for a macro lens? shouldn't it be, like, 2.8 or something?

in the 70-300 the magnified is 1/2 mean that twice ur sensor size is the pecture u take
and when u shooting macro u have a really really!!shallow DOF so when u shooting macro u allmost allways closing ur aperture to 9 or 11 sometimes even 16
and for to use the best quality that the lens (70-300) is offering, u got to close the aperture atleast to 9
the macro start only between 200-300mm...
